Watch the new Destiny Showcase livestream
Bungie will stream their Destiny Showcase Tuesday. It will feature Destiny 2’s upcoming Season of the Lost, next year’s The Witch Queen expansion and possibly more.
This year’s Destiny Showcase will stream on the official Bungie Twitch channel. The showcase will begin at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. Pacific Time (PTD) on August 24th. A pre-show will take place one hour before the showcase. It will begin at 11 p.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, but it is not known what Bungie will present at that time. The studio has not revealed the length of the Destiny Showcase.
Season of the Lost, starring Mara Sov in the Dreaming City, will also be launched on Tuesday. Bungie will update destiny 2 after the Livestream is over. Players can then dive into the new content. Bungie has not revealed any details about the season beyond the characters and name, but it will likely open the door to The Witch Queen expansion.
The Destiny Showcase’s star is The Witch Queen. This fourth expansion for Destiny 2 will launch in early 2022. Savathun will be the expansion’s main character. She is Oryx’s sister and titular Witch Queen.
Bungie revealed Lightfall last year. Joe Blackburn, the creative director, confirmed that there would be another expansion. Bungie also confirmed that Destiny would continue after the post nightfall expansion and that The Witch Queen and Lightfall will be the last sagas.
Bungie will likely update players on the Destiny Content Vault, and a feature announced last year where content will go in and out of the game as it ages. Expect to lose at most one destination and possibly see the return of an older planet or raid.
