Slytherin’s Ambition and Cunning
Slytherins, like Ravenclaws, have a reputation for being brilliant in academics. But part of their talent is also due to their natural ambition. Slytherins are often driven to excel, sometimes out of spite, while Gryffindors aim to be heroic and great. The Houses are natural rivals because of this ambition, which often clashes with Gryffindors’ determination. For example, Fallout 4’s skill tree shows that a Slytherin would have the highest Intelligence or Perception and some Charisma for techniques such as intimidation and deception.
A Slytherin student’s tendency to break the rules to succeed or get what they want is a hallmark of Slytherin. This could be a common trait that can lead to success at Hogwarts Legacy. __S.124__ They could also use intimidation and scare tactics to obtain information from others.
Slytherin’s Self-Preservation and Pride
Each Hogwarts house has its own weaknesses. Gryffindors, for example, can be stubborn. However, Slytherins tend to be proud and selfish. Sometimes, that pride comes from being pure-blooded, but not all Slytherins. It’s rare to find a Slytherin student born muggle-born. Dragon Age restricts players based upon their race. Slytherin characters may be unable to pursue heroic paths or make friends with Gryffindor students. This could impact the overall outcome.
It would also be fascinating to see each house receive a skill buff based on their homes, in line with Skyrim’s race-based buffs. Gryffindors might be more charismatic and thus better at persuasion checking, while Ravenclaws may be smarter and more intelligent, making them more adept academically. Slytherin’s characteristics being used in this way would be a hit with open-world RPG gamers. However, fans will have to wait till next year for more details.
