Dexter Fletcher will direct Ghosted for Apple TV Plus. He also helmed Rocketman. Deadpool and Zombieland writers Rhett Reynolds and Paul Wernick will write the script. Evans will co-produce the film with Skydance’s Dave Ellison. Ellison is also well-known for producing Mission: Impossible 7 & Mission: Impossible 8.

Johansson recently signed up to star in Wes Anderson’s next film amid a lawsuit against Disney regarding contract violations with Disney Plus’ release of Black Widow. Johansson will be starring alongside Margot Robbie and Tilda Swinton and Bill Murray, Tom Hanks and Adrien Brody. The film’s production is currently taking place in Spain. Evans will be working with Apple for the second time. He previously starred in the legal drama Defender Jacob. Evans will star with Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas and Joe Russo in Netflix’s new thriller The Gray Man.
Apple TV Plus continues impressing with its high-budget features. It recently filmed Martin Scorsese’s western crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon. This film will star Leonardo DiCaprio as well as Robert De Niro. The streamer is currently in production on Emancipation. This slave drama stars Will Smith and is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day. Shooter. The Equalizer). Ridley Scott’s new drama Kitbag is also being produced by Apple TV. It stars Joaquin Phoenix playing Napolean Bonaparte and Jodie Comer portraying Josephine.
Ghosted bringing in stars such as Evans and Johansson and a director with Fletcher’s vision, this could be one of Apple’s most important and exciting projects. Other films on Apple TV Plus include Greyhound, a World War II movie starring Tom Hanks and Cherry, a crime drama directed by Fletcher and reunites them and MCU’s Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.
