ERNIE HUDSON CONFIRMS A NEW GHOSTBUSTERS VIDEO GAME IS IN THE WORK
Ernie Hudson, the actor of Ghostbusters, has confirmed that a new Ghostbusters videogame is in the works. He is best known for his role in the Ghostbusters movies. Hudson spoke at last weekend’s CelebFanFest Film festival in San Antonio, Texas, about the upcoming game.
Ernie Hudson confirmed his involvement in Ghostbusters and was currently recording voice lines for his character.
The actor was spotted on YouTube by Countdown City Geeks via the website Ghostbusters news. He answered whether we could expect a new game in the series.
“I received an email because we are doing another videogame. They are scheduling it now to record it. I don’t know who will do it. I do know Danny (Dan Aykroyd), but I doubt it. It’s not clear if Billy (Bill Murray), will be involved in any way. Also, .”
Hudson also mentioned working with unnamed developers to improve his in-game character’s appearance. This confirms that Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray are getting in-game characters.
The actor refused to answer questions about Ghostbusters 2 and the period in which it was set. He also mentioned that he doesn’t know the release date.
Keep in mind, Raphael Saadiq, co-founder of IllFonic, confirmed towards the end of September that the studio best known for its work Friday the 13th: The Game & Predator: Hunting Grounds was working on a Ghostbusters title.
He did it during an episode on the Questlove Supreme podcast at the one-hour and 25-second mark.
While there’s no direct connection between Hudson and IllFonic at the moment, there is a possibility that Hudson was referring to the same Ghostbusters videogame.
We can’t complain about the two titles being developed based on this IP if it is not.
