Dead by Daylight Hellraiser DLC teased, Stranger Things content going away
Based on developer behaviour’s teases, Interactive, Dead by Daylight’s next chapter is expected to bring the Hellraiser movie franchise into the fold. As the next Dead by Daylight killer, this will likely include Pinhead, aka the Hell Priest, aka Xipe Totec), the lead Cenobite in Clive Barker’s sadomasochistic demon gang.
The Dead by Daylight community quickly deciphered Behaviour Interactive’s teases. The studio slipped the letters R-A–I-S–E into a series of tweets and images over this week and the letters H–E-L–L into an audio file posted to Discord. The video teaser Friday shows staticky footage of flower blooms shot in VHS-style that subtly hint at Hellraiser. It is similar to a scene in the 1987 original Hellraiser movie.
This is the good news. Dead by Daylight fans will be disappointed to hear that Netflix’s Stranger Things is closing down. Behaviour Interactive announced Monday that characters Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and the Demogorgon would no longer be available for purchase as DLC as of Nov. 17. Dead By Daylight players with those characters will continue playing after the date but will not be able to use the Hawkins National Laboratory Underground Complex map.
The behaviour gives Stranger Things lovers the chance to save on expired content. Get it before it disappears. Steve, Nancy, the Demogorgon, and cosmetic DLC (for all three) are currently 50% off.
In September 2019, Dead by Daylight’s Stranger Things content was added to the game. Behaviour added licensed killers like Pyramid Head from Silent Hill and the Nemesis Type from Resident Evil to the game in September 2019. Original characters include Ji-Woon Hak, K-pop killer Ji-Woon Hak, and creepy conjoined twins Charlotte Deshayes and Victor Deshayes.
