Sam Maggs is the author of Nott the Brave. She is best known for her work with Captain Marvel and The Unstoppable Wasp. She’ll be teaming up with Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer and voice actor Sam Riegel to create the story. Sam Maggs was previously known for her work on Captain Marvel and The Unstoppable Wasp. William Kirkby will draw the graphic novel’s artwork with Mildred Louis (Agents of the Realm and Invader Zim).
Dark Horse provides a synopsis. “Veth Brenatto does not have an exciting lifestyle, but she enjoys it that way,” says Dark Horse. It’s safer than her childhood. Predictable. Her husband and son love her just as much as she does. Veth’s comfortable existence is thrown into disarray when raiders take her and her family. Veth will do anything to save her family, and possibly forever.
The original Critical Role was a series that featured actual Dungeons & Dragons play performances. It quickly gained a large following. Darrington Press is the group’s own publishing company. It creates board games as well as tabletop role-playing items. The successful Kickstarter campaign led to a 2-season agreement with Amazon Prime Streaming to produce an animated series.
