Battlefield 2042 story trailer brings back a BF4 .favourite
Battlefield 2042 will not feature a single-player narrative campaign. However, it will carry over elements from previous games and tell its own stories. Electronic Arts and DICE released a short film called “Exodus” that tells Battlefield 2042. It also confirms the return of a beloved character, Battlefield 4’s Kimble “Irish” Graves. Michael K. Williams once again played this.
The nine-minute film confirms a canonical conclusion to 2013’s Battlefield4: The campaign ends with an Irish victory, not Huang “Hannah”, Shuyi. Irish will thus be playable as a “No-Pat” Specialist in Battlefield2042.
Oz is a new character in Battlefield lore that “Exodus” introduces. He clashes against the Irish over the future for the No-Pats, 2042, the nickname for non-patriate soldiers who will fight in the game’s global conflict. EA released a statement saying that Battlefield 2042’s story will “continues to evolve over time” through the use of future playable specialists, much like how Apex Legends and Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch manage their storytelling.
Following Casper, Mackay and Boris, Irish is the fifth confirmed specialist in Battlefield 2042. Battlefield2042 will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PCs, Xbox One and Xbox Series X starting Oct. 22.
